Cody walked into the Training Field. Upon arriving, he let his new Houndour out of his Pokeball. He smiled at the small puppy-like Pokemon in front of him. "Hey, there. You're going to be called Shade from now on, okay?" Houndour barked eagerly, happy with his name. Cody laughed. "Apparently you like that name. Okay, Shade, let's see what ya' got." Cody thought of one of his Houndour's attacks. "Ember!" He cried. It was too bad that both Cody and Shade seemed to forget that they were on grass. A moment later, Cody was hastily trying to put out a miniture fire before anyone noticed. "Geez, Shade. Maybe we should move!" Cody said after the fire had been stamped out by his shoes. The pair moved off to a rocky ledge and began to train again.
xx. The Pokemon barked at his trainer, but Annie just smiled, running from him like they were playing a game of tag. The Electrike barked again, then tackled his trainer to the ground. Annie was slender and tall, but Electrike small and for now, weak. But she went along with it all, glad she could boost his confidence. But their fun soon ended, when they spotted a fire in the distance. Annie stood and turned serious, looking at Electrike as if telling them they needed to get down to buisness. They started running, but the others had already put it out. They heaved a breath from all the running, then smiled, looking over the cliff warrily. You two OK over here?
xx. In unison, Chianne's and Electrike's eyes fell atop each other, and they shrugged. Electrike barked at the other Pokemon playfully, glad to see one of him with a trainer. Then Annie nodded and smiled, figuring Electrike needed to build up strength. Sure, thanks. Electrike took a step forward, ready for any type of training they had coming. She cleared her throat and stepped toward them too, a grin widening her mug. Where to captain?

Cody looked around for a moment. "How 'bout over there?" He pointed towards an empty area. "Do you want to battle or just help our pokemon get their moves down?" (where did you get that little picture of your pokemon?)

xx. Annie nodded again, figuring where he had pointed to was a great place to start. Walking toward the area, Electrike followed closely behind his trainer, let alone beside her. Stopping at the designated area, Annie scratched her head and forced a smile, then looked at the boy and his Pokemon. Annie lifted her shoulders up, shrugging to his second question. Um, your choice. She extended her arm and smiled, pausing with the speech for a moment. Electrike barked, and Annie quickly spoke, relieved someone had spooked her out of her daze. I'm Chianne, by the way, you can call me Annie though, and this is Electrike. I'm a new ranger, and you? She raised her eyebrows in question then leaned down to pet her Pokemon, although eyes still fixated on the boy.

Cody smiled. He knew that Annie loved her Pokemon. "I'm Cody. This is Shade." He motioned towards Shade the Houndour, who was carefully examining a peice of grass. "I haven't really thought about what I want to be...I haven't really had the time, I guess. You see, my parents died when I was younger. I've been traveling ever since."

xx. Annie's smile faded, and her hand slowed, Gahd, Annie, why do you always have to ask the wrong questions? Staring down at Electrike for a moment she paused, stroking his velvet coat. Clearing her throat, once and for all she stood, then smiled down at the handsome Houndour, then to Cody. Crossing her arms she managed to avoid eye contact again, but it didn't last long before she refocused on him. Oh, I'm so sorry, she muttered aloud. Electrike perked his ears, watching the other Pokemon play with the grass. He held back a smile, then leaped toward it playfully barking. Annie called him back, but decided to let him be, the little rascal could have his fun.
